Assessment

Assessment is set by Pearson Edexcel and delivered through four externally assessed written examinations (Units 1–4).

  • Managing people: recruitment, motivation, leadership and organisational culture

  • Global business: market entry, global marketing, ethics, culture and sustainability
  • Unit 1 (IAS – 25%): Marketing and People — external written exam; customer needs, markets, marketing strategy, managing people, entrepreneurship.
  • Unit 2 (IAS – 25%): Managing Business Activities — 2h exam; finance, operations, external influences.
  • Unit 3 (IA2 – 25%): Business Decisions and Strategy — 2h exam; strategy, growth, decision techniques, competitiveness, change.
  • Unit 4 (IA2 – 25%): Global Business — 2h exam; globalisation, market entry, global marketing, ethics and culture.
