  • Assessments include source-based questions and historical essays.
  • IAL Unit 3 (IA2 – 25%): Thematic study with source evaluation — 2h external written exam; options include USA (1763–1865), British warfare (1803–1945), Germany (1870–1990), Civil Rights USA (1865–2009).
  • IAL Unit 4 (IA2 – 25%): International study with historical interpretations — 2h external written exam; topics include Modern Europe, World in Crisis, World Divided, Cold War in Asia.
